NAIDOC Week
November 8, 2020
NAIDOC Week runs from 8-15 Nov 2020, rescheduled from May due to COVID. This week sees celebrations across Australia centred around this year’s theme, “Always Was, Always Will Be”. It originated as a day of protest in 1938. The National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) evolved it to become an annual week of celebration. Australians celebrate Indigenous culture and recognise the contributions of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders to our country.
